Who we are

What this site collects

No cookies. This site doesn’t use cookies or tracking scripts. The one exception is YouTube videos, and only if you choose to play one (see below).

Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you. TODO: link to Cloudflare’s privacy information.

Maps. The maps on the sites pages use street map images from OpenStreetMap. To show them, your browser downloads the images from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which see your IP address, as any website does. OpenStreetMap’s privacy policy explains what they do with it. If you turn JavaScript off, you see a simple drawing instead and nothing is downloaded from OpenStreetMap.

Videos. Our videos are on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press “Play the video”. Then the video plays from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may store cookies or similar information on your device. Google’s privacy policy explains what they do with it.

The response helper. When you use the response helper, everything you type stays on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. Your draft is saved in your browser so it survives a reload, and you can clear it at any time with “Clear my draft”.

If you email us. We use your email only to reply and to keep you updated if you ask us to. TODO: how long we keep emails, and when we delete them.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us at TODO. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Responding to the council

When you respond to LDP3, you’re sending your information to East Renfrewshire Council, not to us. The council’s own privacy notice applies. TODO: link to it.
